Description:

If you're looking for free things to do with kids in Cronton or somewhere to get the children outdoors for a few hours, The Pasture is a lovely local park that's perfect for families. As a mum, I know that sometimes you don't need a full day out – you just need a safe, open space where the children can play, run around and enjoy some fresh air. That's exactly what The Pasture offers.

The children's play area is always a favourite with younger visitors, providing plenty of opportunities to climb, slide and burn off energy. Surrounding the playground are large open grass areas that are ideal for football, games of tag, scooter rides, or simply letting little ones stretch their legs.

One of the things I love most about The Pasture is its peaceful setting. Surrounded by greenery, it feels far removed from busy roads and town centres. It's a great place for children to explore, spot wildlife and enjoy being outdoors.

The pathways around the park are perfect for family walks and are suitable for pushchairs, bikes and scooters. Whether you're popping by before or after school, meeting friends for a playdate, or looking for somewhere to entertain the children for an hour or two during the holidays, The Pasture is a fantastic option.

As a parent, I appreciate that it's simple, safe and easy to access. There aren't lots of attractions competing for attention, which means children can enjoy imaginative play, make the most of the open space and spend time outdoors without distractions.

The park is open daily throughout the year and is free to visit.

Lots of events throughout the year aslo take place at The Pasture for the local community, i.e Easter Trails. See the Cronton Facebook Group for more information on this.

For families searching for parks in Cronton, free kids' activities near Widnes, or a local green space where children can play and explore, The Pasture is well worth a visit. It's the perfect spot for a couple of hours outdoors, whether you're stopping by after school or enjoying a relaxed weekend walk with the family.
