⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic family day out that's well worth the visit!
We visited Carnie Farm with our two toddlers, and it ended up being one of our favourite family days out. If you're looking for somewhere that keeps little ones entertained for hours while still being enjoyable for adults, I'd definitely recommend it.
First Impressions
Parking was free and there was plenty of space, which is always a huge bonus when you're unloading toddlers, changing bags and snacks! The farm was easy to navigate and felt safe for little children to explore. ([Cairnie Fruit Farm][1])
Opening times:9.30am to 4.30pm
What's Included in the Funyard Ticket?
The Funyard has so much to do that our girls were constantly moving from one activity to the next. Depending on the season, activities include:
* Giant jumping pillows
* Pedal go-karts
* Adventure playgrounds
* Sand play
* Tractor rides
* Giant slides
* Indoor and outdoor play areas
* The famous Mega Maze (seasonal)
* Animal viewing areas
* Plenty of space to run around and explore
There really was something for every age, from toddlers through to older children. We loved that we could let the girls burn off lots of energy while we enjoyed watching them have fun.
Pick Your Own
One of our favourite parts was the Pick Your Own fruit. It's a lovely activity to do together and gives children a chance to learn where food comes from.
Current entry prices are:
Adult (16+): £2
Child (3-15): £1.75
Under 3s: Free
The entry ticket gives you access to the fields, then you simply pay for whatever fruit you pick by weight.
If you're planning to visit both the Funyard and Pick Your Own on the same day, combination tickets are also available, making it better value.
Food & Facilities
The café had plenty of food and drinks available, making it easy to stop for lunch or just grab an ice cream. There are toilets and baby changing facilities, which are always essential when visiting with young children. Free parking is also included.

Overall
As a mum of two toddlers, I thought Carnie Farm offered excellent value for money. There was enough to keep both girls entertained for the whole day, and we loved being able to mix play with picking fresh fruit. It felt relaxed, family-friendly and well organised, with plenty of facilities that make visiting with young children much easier.
It's definitely somewhere we'd visit again and one I'd happily recommend to other families looking for a fun, affordable day out.
